Getting started
Meetings isn't on sale yet. This page is here so early testers can find their way around.
- Download Meetings, open it, and sign in with your Meadow account. It lives in your menu bar.
- Allow the Microphone (and Speech Recognition before macOS 26) during setup.
- Join a call in Zoom, Teams, Webex, FaceTime, Slack or your browser. Meetings asks "Take notes?"; say yes, or press ⌃⇧M.
- Write your own notes while it listens. When the call ends, it enhances them with the transcript.
What you can do
- Notices calls in Zoom, Teams, Webex, FaceTime, Slack and browsers (Chrome, Safari, Arc and others), and offers to take notes. Choose Ask, Always or Never in Settings → General.
- Transcribes on your Mac: your microphone as "You" and the call's sound as "Them".
- Enhance turns your notes and the transcript into tidy notes with to-dos, using a template. Apple Intelligence does it on your Mac; you can use Claude with your own key instead.
- Copy or save as Markdown, and optionally publish notes to your Meadow account so they appear in Burrow.
- Calendar (optional) names meetings after your events.
Keyboard shortcuts
| ⌃⇧M | Start or stop notes (change it in Settings → Shortcuts) |

|---|---|
| ⌘1 · ⌘2 | My notes, Enhanced |
| ⌘\ | Show or hide the transcript |

Permissions, and why
- Microphone: to hear your side of the call.
- System Audio Recording: to hear the other side. macOS asks the first time Meetings listens (before macOS 14.4 it's Screen Recording).
- Speech Recognition: only before macOS 26.
- Notifications (optional): to ask whether to take notes when a call starts.
- Calendar (optional): only if you turn on "Use my calendar".
What stays on your Mac
- Call audio is transcribed on your Mac and not kept, unless you turn on "Keep recordings".
- Notes, transcripts and enhanced notes are saved on your Mac (Application Support › Meetings).
- Publish notes to my Meadow account is off by default. When it's on, notes, enhanced notes, the transcript and attendees go to your account (never audio), and appear in Burrow.
Troubleshooting
"Them" stays empty. Turn Meetings on in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording, then start notes again.
Meetings didn't offer to take notes. Check "Offer Notes When a Call Starts" in the menu, and that notifications are allowed for Meetings. You can always press ⌃⇧M.
A permission stopped working after an update. macOS can tie a permission to the exact build of an app. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone, switch Meetings off and on again (or remove it with − and add it back), then quit and reopen Meetings.
The sign-in code hasn't arrived. It comes from Meadow, usually within a minute. Check spam and promotions. You can ask for a new one after 60 seconds with Resend Code; the last code still works. More in Signing in.
I paid but Meetings still shows the paywall. Click I've Paid — Check Again. Meetings also checks by itself when you bring it to the front, when your Mac wakes, and every few minutes while it's locked. Make sure you're signed in with the same email you paid with (it shows under the buttons as "Signed in as …"). Still locked? Contact support and we'll sort it out.
System requirements
- macOS 14 or later.
- Apple silicon (M1 or later).
- A Meadow account with the app in your plan. Every Meadow app is paid; there are no free trials (you can ask for a refund within 14 days).
Didn't find it? A real person replies, usually within a working day.
