Meadow

Terms of service

Last updated October 16, 2026

The short version. Use Meadow for anything legal. What you make is yours. Pay for the apps you pick, monthly or yearly, and cancel any time; you keep them until the end of the period you paid for. Paddle handles the payments. AI can be wrong, so check what matters. We'll be fair with you, and tell you before anything important changes.

1. This agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and [Amit Maraj, operating as Meadow] (“Meadow”, “we”), of Ontario, Canada. They cover the Meadow website, your Meadow account, and the Meadow apps (Burrow, Barky, Firefly, Iris, Meetings and the apps in early access). Our privacy policy and refund policy are part of them. By creating an account or buying a plan, you accept these terms. If you use Meadow for an organisation, you accept them for it and confirm you're allowed to.

2. Who can use Meadow

You must be at least 13 years old, or 16 in the European Economic Area and the UK (or older, if your country requires it to agree to these terms yourself). You must not be barred from using software like this under the laws that apply to you.

3. Your account

One Meadow account signs you in to every Meadow app. Sign-in uses a code sent to your email, so keep your email account secure. You're responsible for what happens under your account; tell us straight away at [hello@usemeadow.app] if you think someone else has used it. Workspaces are for sharing: people you invite can see and edit what you share with them without paying, and the owner of a workspace decides who's in it.

4. Plans and payment

  • Pick your apps. Meadow is priced per person by how many apps you pick (your “basket”). Plus is an optional add-on per app that turns on cloud AI with a monthly allowance of requests. Current prices are on the pricing page and in the billing screen, and are shown before you pay.
  • Monthly or yearly. Plans renew automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. Yearly plans cost ten times the monthly price.
  • No free trials. Every app is paid: an app works while it's in your plan. If it isn't right for you, our refund policy gives you your money back within 14 days of any charge. A trial started before October 8, 2026 runs until its end date.
  • Paddle. Our order process is handled by our online reseller Paddle.com, the merchant of record for all our orders. Paddle provides customer service for payments and handles returns, and its buyer terms apply to your purchase. Prices may include sales tax or VAT where it applies.
  • Changes to your plan. Adding or removing apps, adding Plus or switching between monthly and yearly takes effect straight away, and the difference for the current period is prorated by Paddle.
  • Cancelling. Cancel any time from Manage billing in your account. You keep your apps until the end of the period you've paid for. Refunds are covered by our refund policy (14 days, no questions asked).
  • Price changes. We'll tell you at least 30 days before a price change applies to your plan, and it takes effect at your next renewal. You can cancel before then.
  • Failed payments. If a renewal fails, your apps keep working for a 7-day grace period while you update your payment method.

5. When an app lapses

If you stop paying for an app (or an earlier trial ends), you can still open, read, edit, export and delete everything you made with it, and turn off its share links. You just can't create new items with it, and the app itself stays locked, until you add it back. We won't delete your content because a plan ended; see the privacy policy for what happens when you delete your account.

6. Your content

You own what you put into Meadow: pages, notes, recordings, transcripts, screenshots and files (“your content”). You give us permission to store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to run Meadow for you and the people you share with: for example, syncing it, showing it to workspace members, serving share links, and sending it to our AI provider when you ask for cloud AI. That permission ends when you delete the content, except for copies in backups for a short time. We don't use your content to train AI models.

You're responsible for your content and for having the right to use it, including getting any consent the law requires before recording a call or another person. Meetings and Iris make recording easy; the law on recording conversations differs by place, and following it is up to you.

7. AI features

AI can make mistakes. Read what it writes before you rely on it, especially for anything medical, legal, financial or safety-related. AI suggestions don't change your pages until you accept them. Cloud AI comes with Plus and is limited to a monthly allowance per app; requests beyond it wait for next month. Without Plus, AI runs on your device. If you connect your own AI key or an outside AI agent, that service's terms apply to what you send it, and the agent can do whatever its access allows until you disconnect it.

8. Acceptable use

Don't use Meadow to:

  • break the law, or help someone else break it;
  • record, track or share information about people without the consent the law requires;
  • share content that infringes others' rights, exploits children, harasses or threatens people, or spreads malware;
  • get around plan limits, AI allowances or security, or probe, overload or disrupt the service;
  • resell Meadow, or use it to build a competing product by copying it.

We may remove content or disable share links that break these rules, and suspend accounts that seriously or repeatedly do. Where we can, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to fix it.

9. The apps and updates

We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Meadow apps while your account is in good standing. The apps, their design and the Meadow name belong to us. We keep improving Meadow, so features may change; apps marked early access or beta may change more, or stop. We won't remove a core feature of an app you pay for without telling you first, and if we stop offering an app you pay for, we'll refund the unused part of your period for it. Desktop apps may update themselves.

10. Other services

Meadow works with services we don't control, like your email provider, iCloud Drive, AI providers you choose, and AI agents you connect. Their terms apply to them, and we're not responsible for them.

11. Ending this agreement

You can stop using Meadow and delete your account yourself at any time (Settings → Account in Burrow, or the link in any app's account settings). We may end or suspend your access if you seriously break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we shut Meadow down; except in urgent cases we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and time to export your content, and refund any prepaid period you can no longer use.

12. No guarantees

We work hard to keep Meadow reliable and your data safe, but Meadow is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it fits a particular purpose. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose. Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived.

13. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, Meadow isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about Meadow is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and CAD $50. These limits don't apply where the law doesn't allow them, for example to liability for fraud, or for death or injury caused by negligence.

14. If someone makes a claim about your content

If someone brings a claim against us because of your content or because you broke these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, to the extent the law allows. This doesn't apply to consumers where the law forbids it.

15. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Let's try to sort out any problem informally first: write to [hello@usemeadow.app]. If we can't, the courts of Ontario decide, unless the law where you live gives you the right to go to your local courts, which you keep.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll email you or show a notice in the apps at least 30 days before it takes effect (sooner only where the law or a security issue requires). If you don't agree, you can cancel before then and get a refund of any prepaid period after the change.

17. The rest

If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce something straight away, we haven't given up the right to. You can't transfer this agreement without our consent; we may transfer it to whoever takes over Meadow, and the terms keep protecting you. These terms, with the privacy and refund policies, are the whole agreement between us about Meadow.
